The cable network's annual show, New Year's Eve Live, co-hosted for almost the past 10 years by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and comedian Kathy Griffin, will no longer include Griffin.

CNN's announcement came hours after Donald Trump called out Griffin for the "sick!" photo that upset his children. Donald Trump Jr. had specifically tweeted at CNN to drop Griffin from its programming.

Griffin deleted the photos from her Twitter and her explanation defending the work, which she said had been shot by photographer Tyler Shields. Last week he had hinted at the work with this tweet:

The CEO of Squatty Potty, a toilet stool known for its over-the-top ads, decided Tuesday night to suspend a new ad campaign starring Griffin. The CEO said in a statement the suspension demonstrates the company's "commitment to a culture of decency, civility and tolerance."
