Short video platform Kuaishou released its e-commerce performance report for its 2025 Spring Festival shopping day (Jan. 14). The Watch The Lion King Onlinenumber of active merchants increased 22% year-on-year, while the number of new merchants making their first event sales rose by 21%. Influencer-driven GMV (gross merchandise value) surged by 59% compared to 2023. Livestreaming played a key role in the event’s success, with nearly 22,000 livestreamers raising GMV by more than 100%.
