Yes, indeed, it is disappointing. But do not de-rez! We have good news, too: Disney is bringing Shanghai Disneyland's popular Tron Lightcycle Power Run ride to the U.S.!

The addition of Tron Lightcycle Power Run was announced Friday by Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek at D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, home of Disneyland -- where for now there won't be one, as it's only planned for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Don't lose your identity discs, West Coast programs! We may not be getting a new movie anytime soon, and Disneyland isn't getting its own Tron Lightcycle Power Run, but its addition to Disney World shows us that Tronis still a priority at The Mouse House.

In other words: Flynn lives!

Tron Lightcycle Power Run is a high-speed, indoor-outdoor ride that approximates the light-cycle grid sequence in the enduring classics for the ages, Tronand Tron: Legacy.
