The Netflix series, which premieres on Dec. 9, was announced during a panel at DragonCon, an annual convention that celebrates a broad spectrum of fandom.

A Nerdistreporter who was in attendance for the reveal said the series was described as a sort of "Mythbustersin Wonderland" in which Belleci, Byron and Imahara "go down the rabbit hole on the internet."

The Mythbustersbuild team was a series fixture until co-hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage announced at the end of Season 9 that the trio would not be returning. Hyneman and Savage forged on for one more season after that before the series concluded in March 2016.
