The internet asked that exact question of Apple after the company announced that their project for a highly-anticipated wireless charging mat would be canceled on Friday. This was a bit embarrassing, considering that Apple had already greenlit the AirPower for production and printed references to it on the packaging for AirPods. Yikes.
After pulling the equivalent of taking down a selfie minutes after posting it because it got zero likes, Twitter is responding to Apple saying "haha, jk, you thought."
