The department is seeking public feedback by March 4 on proposed measures to secure the drone supply chain, warning that drones from China and Russia could potentially be remotely accessed and manipulated, exposing sensitive US data. Last month, President Joe Biden signed a law that could prohibit China-based DJI and Autel Robotics from selling new drone models in the US. DJI, the world’s largest drone manufacturer, currently sells more than half of all commercial drones in the US. [Reuters]
