This comes two days after the Trump administration upped the levies on China on top of an existing 20% tariff related to the drug fentanyl. China imported 1,553 Model X cars and 311 Model S cars in 2024, which accounted for less than 0.3% of Tesla’s total deliveries of 657,102 units in China last year, according to figures revealed by Li Yanwei, an analyst with the China Auto Dealers Association.
