Megi comes just two weeks after Taiwan was hit by Super Typhoon Meranti, the strongest storm on Earth this year and one of the most powerful typhoons on record.

Two people were killed by Meranti and more than 35 were injured, as 600,000 homes were left without water or power as a result of the storm.
